Incredible India to Lovely London…. Comparing one’s own country to the one it was ruled by is always difficult and emotional. So here it goes…. UK  and India are two nations so different in culture , people , cuisine , landscape , weather , still have some similarities as the left hand side driving, the way we drink lots of tea proves that the habits are also cultivated and mostly the way one is influenced by its ruler…..But this blog is all about the differences I have felt during my short stay there and might be right or wrong but as everyone perceives differently the same situations, suggest you all to visit this lovely place and if you are in UK then come and visit my Incredible India! First thing first,  being a woman the first difference I noticed and surely it made me feel that it will be great to stay in London is the way they treat their Woman or to say they don’t treat them any different from men. You are a free spirit when it comes to dressing , speaking and many

Flipped by RUBBISH customer Service by FLIPKART

What do you call an online retailer with good network, amazing delivery time, perfect prices and a wide range of products all backed by a RUBBISH and NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE . My experience leads me to calling it  “ FLIPKART ” They have no process in place for the most important thing called “ CUSTOMER GRIEVANCE ”. You call them with a complaint and are only rerouted to various teams and sets of people a million times. You have to every time repeat the whole story irrelevant to the amount of time you are kept on hold. I don’t understand why cant the previous team brief the next team before they hand in the call is that not the least expected thing to do when they have kept you on hold for at least 3-4 minutes between call transfer to the next team. Also I don’t understand why does the customer have to be on the call for approx. 1 hour and repeatedly just be put on hold and made to repeat his grievance a million times!!! Are they testing our patience so that w

It was the perfect day in office….no work…lots of interesting stuff to read. Shyama was back to India after a long gap. She was feeling comfortable in her regular Indian office wear. With the burden of the jacket off her shoulder she felt both light and lively. So thought to read and enjoy the day at leisure. She wanted to relax completely so she got her favorite mug dumped the green tea bag and filled it with piping hot water. Her kappa was reading, with her reading glasses on she started. She went through various site and finally settled on one for health and wellbeing. She started reading and soon was engrossed completely in it. Suddenly a not so familiar voice shot at her from the background. It was Murugesh, the ever inquisitive guy from her team. She was new to the team and Murugesh’s ways. Murugesh repeated again this time with a softer tone as he already had Shyama’s attention. Murugesh: Trying to Lose weight, ha? Shyama gave her him a quizzed look. She was

Green Tea.. Boosts your metabolism Seriously hydrating Clears up your skin Contains antioxidants All with Zero Calories What more do I need…these words of wisdom, were a lot of inspiration to me. So I was at it again, my ultimate goal   “Weight loss” So first things first I needed to arrange for more information on green tea, how it has to be used, how much can we consume in a day and all other relevant information. Panch ki Anch!

We travel and move to so many places in life and every time more than the similarities we pick the differences in those places and try to enjoy them. So this series will be dedicated to listing and honoring the difference. This series is not going to be a one way thing, lets make it interactive. Every week one of the readers will be chosen and asked to list   top five differences for any two places that he has been to. Voluntary participation is always welcome! So start thinking and looking for difference. These can be very basic but something that caught your eye. It can be about the people. The culture or as the blog itself says about everything! So either Volunteer or sit back and wait to be chosen…. But as they say….Practice what you preach. So the first post will be of course by me. Thanks to my husband and my job I have in my recent past travelled a lot and have   stayed in various countries and   within India in various states. But most of my time was spent

Those 10 days... Chapter V!

It was morning, Mayank was up and ready way before time. He was his usual self. The thing which he thought was an impossible dream was happening. He felt he was both the luckiest and dumbest   person alive. Lucky because he finally had Siya as his friend and dumb because he thought it was the impossible, in fact it was so easy. Things just happened even before he could realize, It felt as if Siya had also waited to talk to him and made best of the first opportunity. Seeing him ready so early everyone in the family was in a state of both shock and delight. There lazy boy was growing up to be responsible young man. Mayank had his breakfast and was in the bus stop well ahead in time. In fact he was so early that he had to leave a bus to be with Siya. He was waiting for Siya looking at the long road. He would every once in a while glance at his watch. This exercise quickly reminded him of the Theory of relativity. He went back to the day he had first seen Siya. He lifted his gaze from

Me samajh gaya tha. Tune mujhe who khat shabdo se nai asuoa se likha tha. Me samajh gaya tha. Usme doori ki tadap, yaado ki nami thi, Sukoon mujhe bhi nahi aya tera khat padh ke Tere asu meri palko me bhi nami de gaye, Hotho pe muskan par dil me teri kami de gaye, Me samajh gaya tha, Zindagi kitani bhi mukamal ho jaye, Usme teri Jagah   koi nai le sakta, Teri jagah khali rakh jee sakta hu, Par waha   koi aur kabhi ghar nai kar sakta, Me samajh gaya tha, Tune mujhe who khat shabdo se nai asuoa se likha tha. Khat se nazaare uthayi aur dekha ass pass Sab kuch tha Bus teri muskaan , tere ehsaas ki kami thi!

Is Honesty an overprised Virtue???

Image
So are we really honest these days?? And if the answer is no, what’s the reason? why is it so difficult to be honest? Is it because the world around us is dishonest? Dishonesty has many faces, it is not only about not lying. It can mean a million things it can be being dishonest, deceitful, two faced, insincere, talking behind someone’s back etc. So would we really like to be known as one of these or encounter someone like this. Do we really want to be honest? I think as human nature we choose the easy thing over the difficult. And being dishonest is easy…cause there are so many easy ways to be dishonest. Its very easy to be achieve things through dishonest conducts, get accolades from people around you. But after that can you actually live with a head held high. Will you be able to go back home and tell your kids what you have accomplished and how. We are laying the foundation to a better tomorrow. By being dishonest we are raising a dishonest generation or society for to
